From the first day we met, right from the start from across the ocean you stole my heart. You gave it wings and it is no longer my own for with those wings to your side it has flown. And so I stand on this distant, empty shore yearning and longing to be able to give you more. I exist, waiting only for the day when I can be yours in each and every way. So darling return my heart to me and I will be yours, always and completely. === My Heart.... My heart beats for you and you alone. It skips a beat every time I see you or hear your voice on the phone. There will come a day, when we are no longer apart. Of this I am sure, for I trust my heart. When that day comes, my heart will sing a sweet song. Because that is when it will finally have what it has wanted and needed all along.

This is my most recent poem on poetry.com. It is dedicated to my dear friend Yosef who I recently met here on Wayn. It also goes out to all my other friends who are dear to me no matter how far. A friend is someone near and dear, or someone far away but just as dear. A friend is someone who will share a smile a laugh or a cry, or will sit and enjoy a cup of coffee and a piece of pie. A friend will listen to your hopes, dreams and fears or hold you, console you and wipe away your tears. A friend is here or there, neither low nor high but right by your side if they hear but one sigh. A friend can be someone you see every day, or someone you have never met but care for anyway. A friend will lend a helping hand when you are in need. A friend is a friend is a friend indeed!
